Karen Bauer rejoins Coach Turoscy for her 21st season at DeSales, following her from Cedar Crest College where she was one of Turoscy’s assistants for four years.
Bauer has been playing softball for 20+ years. Her career began at Brandywine Heights High School where she played four seasons on varsity. Bauer continued at East Stroudsburg Univ. where she played from 1993-96, earning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference First-Team honors three times (1993, 95, & 96) as well being named the PSAC Player of the Year as a senior. She also earned the ESU Outstanding Player Award for softball three times.
She continues to play today for the Spirit Fast Pitch Women’s Class A softball team in the summer. Bauer graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education.
Bauer, who resides in Mertztown, PA, works at St. Francis Academy and Holy Guardian Angels School as a physical education teacher.
